BATON ROUGE - Katherine Courtney Dunstan and Jeffery James Hebert III, both of Baton Rouge, were united in holy matrimony on the evening of Friday, November 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Reverend Donald Blanchard officiated the 7 p.m. Nuptial Mass.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn Finley Dunstan, formerly of Crowley, and the late Arthur Ernest Dunstan, formerly of Ely, Minn. She is the granddaughter of Robert S. Finley Sr. and the late Katherine Price Finley, both formerly of Crowley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dunstan of Ely, Minn.

Katherine earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University in 2009 and is currently employed as an account executive with the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.

The groom is the son of Mary Miller Hebert and Jeffery James Hebert Jr. of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Robert H. Miller and the late Norma Jean Miller of Eunice, and Carol Crooks of Denham Springs and the late Jeffrey James Hebert Sr.

Jeffery holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in medical science from Mississippi College. He is presently employed with the Southern Eye Bank.

Guests were ushered to their seats by Andrew Brian Duberstein and Wayne David Dugas Jr., friends of the bride; Bryan Thomas Kendricks, friend of the groom; and André Luke Miller, cousin of the groom.

The bride’s mother, the former Lynn Finley, was specially escorted by her late husband’s two brothers, James and Richard Dunstan, both of Ely, Minn.

The bride’s maternal grandfather, Robert Finley Sr., had the honor of accompanying the bride to the altar.

Katherine was stunning in a full length one-shoulder gown in soft white satin taffeta. The shoulder and neckline featured a dramatic ruffle that added motion to the fitted bodice and complemented the gown’s trumpet silhouette. Detailed by narrow horizontal pleating, the bodice gathered on one side just below the hip, where it was embellished with a sparkling crystal applique. The back of the gown featured a corset closure, and the skirt flowed freely into a chapel-length train.

The bride was attended by a number of her friends. Jacqueline Del Ainsworth served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Holly Gaines Scurlock, Jessie Blaum Noggerath and Kaeli Nicole Word.

Angelle Waguespack, cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.

Serving as flower girls were Cecile and Charlotte Waguespack, cousins of the bride.

Darren Chance McNeely, friend of the groom, was best man.

Standing as groomsmen were Clayton Price Erwin, Jared Benjamin Caruso, Matthew Thomas Delo and Justin Douglas Devore, all friends of the groom.

The ring bearer, Luke Finley, is the son of Brandon and Leslie Finley of Lafayette.

Selected scriptures were read by Amily Dupre, Elizabeth McCollister and Benjamin Miller.

Offertory gifts were presented by Matt and Debbie Miller.

Following the ceremony, family and friends celebrated the couple’s union at the Lyceum Ballroom.

Out-of-town guests traveled from Minnesota, New Mexico, Philadelphia, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, D.C. and various points throughout Louisiana.

On the evening prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Little Village Downtown.

Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.
