Captain Keith Dupre, chief of detectives for the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office said Detective Danon Maricle has been investigating a large fight, which occurred in Clearwater on a bridge. He said several people from Oakdale met area residents for this fight. Weapons were used and several people sustained injuries. One person had to be hospitalized and underwent surgery on his head. Dupre said he is in stable condition.
As the investigation continues, Dupre expects arrests to be made.
