EUNICE – According to Eunice Police Chief Deputy Varden Guillory, his office is investigating a complaint against a professor at LSU-Eunice.

Dispatch records show that police were called to LSUE around noon Friday, March 2.

There, a student, Jared Lejeune, claims Dr. Paul Fowler assaulted him.

According to LSUE’s website, Fowler is the director of developmental education.

In dispatch notes, Lejeune said he didn’t need medical attention.

It’s unclear what motivated the alleged attack and what, if any, injuries were sustained.
