Mire - Funeral services will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. for Evella Meche Martin, 91 who died Friday, November 12, 2010.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Mire.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Dassas Martin three daughters, Merida Duhon of Erath, Christine Baham and husband Lee of Mire and Pamela Boudreaux and husband Ken of Morgan City, one son, Joseph "Bud" Martin of Mire, three brothers, Felton Meche of Sulphur, John Meche of Mire and Leo Meche of Mire, 10 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 4 Step Great Grandchildren, 5 Step Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lucien and Ella LeBlanc Meche, son-in-law Floyd Duhon.

She was born Wednesday, September 3, 1919 in Mire, La, Daughter of the late Lucien Meche and the late Ella LeBlanc .

Friends will be received 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., Sunday, November 14 and 8:00 A.M. until services Monday, November 15, 2010. at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Duhon, Damion Edwards, Kenny Boudreaux, Jr., Nicholas Edwards, Seth Boudreaux and Ethan Baham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph C. "Bud" Martin, Ken Boudreaux, Sr. and Lee Baham.
