Two female inmates face additional charges after allegedly slipping cigarettes to their male counterparts at the city jail.

According to records, the women were outside on a scheduled exercise-smoke break when they approached the male side of the jail, a violation of procedure, and tossed some cigarettes into a cell.

The smuggling did not escape the attention of officers on duty.

Kaithlynn Guidry, 19, of 192 J.R. Road and Lisa V. Johnson, 42, 761 Peach Ave., are both charged with introducing contraband into a penal institution and criminal mischief.
