WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND THANKS. First Lady Supria Jindal stopped by a relief line in Amite on Tuesday outside of the House on the Rock Church. National Guard, as well as parish officials and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Department were handing out ice, bottled water and food to those in need. The stop was the last of the day for Jindal, who had been on a day long tour of storm ravaged areas of the state which included St. James, Pierre Part, Donaldsonville, Baton Rouge and Livingston. She is shown here speaking to a National Guardsman, offering he and his fellow servicemen words of encouragement and gratitude on behalf of the citizens of Louisiana.
