Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Flaudry Mae "Flo" Credeur, age 73, the former Flaudry Faulk, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

 

Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

 

Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers are Mrs. Credeur's grandchildren.

 

Survivors include five children, Darrell J. Credeur and his wife, Mary Louise, Julius Credeur, Burlyn J. Credeur and his wife, Cynthia, Wilton "Joey" L. Credeur, Jr. and his wife, Crystal and Renee' Credeur Bergeron and her husband, Steven J. Bergeron; a daughter-in-law, Cecile Michot Credeur; her grandchildren, Beau Credeur, Wyatt Credeur, Sam Credeur, Mac Credeur, Andrew Credeur, Madison Credeur, Cole Credeur, Nicholas Credeur, Jeremy Wilson, Kourtney Credeur, Emily Bergeron, and Kennedy Bergeron; one sister, Irene Romero; two brothers, Daniel Faulk and Raywood Faulk and his wife, Mary.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Faulk and the former,Olite Hebert; her husband, Wilton L. Credeur, Sr., who died October 22, 1998;  and one son, Dale J. Credeur, who died on January 14, 2008.  

 

Mrs. Credeur was born on April 29, 1937 in Abbeville, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be sadly missed. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Credeur was a self employed Beautician for many years in Rayne, Louisiana. After relocating her family to Lafayette, she was a member of St. Edmond Catholic Church serving as a Lay Minister and as a member of the St. Edmond's Ladies Auxiliary Group. Mrs. Credeur was also an Associate at the Bethany Nursing Home, caring for the Most Holy Sacrament Nuns.

 

Pallbearers will be her four sons, Darrell J. Credeur, Julius Credeur, Burlyn J. Credeur and Wilton "Joey" L. Credeur, Jr., and also her son-in-law, Steven Bergeron and her brother, Daniel Faulk.

 

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location at 600 E. Farrel Rd., Lafayette, LA 70508 on Friday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass.

 

A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Deacon Harris Bergeron.

 

The family wishes to give special thanks to her caregivers, Ann Frentz and Linda Gard for their compassionate care and friendship.

 

Memorial contributions, may be made in Mrs. Credeur's name to the Arthritis Foundation of Louisiana, 5222 Summa Court, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809.
