Lavergne, a resident of Crowley, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in American Legion Hospital in Crowley. He was a member of Agape New Vision in Crowley.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Vallien Lavergne of Crowley; four daughters, Saletha Knight and Tammy Jones (Taryton), both of Houston, Texas, Brenda Davis (Chris) of Phoenix, Arizona and Myranda Lvergne of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Bradley Lavergne of Crowley; three sisters, Patricia Champbers (Joseph) of Lafayette and Bernadette Lavergne and Dorothy Lavergne, both of Opelousas; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Howard Lavergne, Sr.; his son Trevor Lavergne; one brother, Howard Lavergne, Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Harmon; an aunt, Pearl Harmon; two uncles, Ellis and James Harmon; and a host of other uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, June 19, 2010, from 8:30 a.m to 11 a.m. in Northside Assembly of God.
