Join us on Friday, August 24, 2012 as Irish Folksinger, Danny O’Flaherty, returns to Cite des Arts in Lafayette for an evening of great Irish and American folk music. O’Flaherty combines warmth and spirit to bring the long history of Irish and American folk music home to your heart. Danny was raised in the Connemara region of Ireland, developing his love for the music and songs that were to be a part of his life, around the peat fires from those who came before him. His rich soulful voice, captivating storytelling and engaging stage presence will take the audience to the depths of his soul. Danny emigrated to the States in the early 70’s and started bringing Irish folk music to folk venues around the country, sharing the stage with many of the Irish and American folk musicians of the era.
