Former Pineville youth minister held on sex charges involving juveniles

PINEVILLE – Investigation continues in the case of a former youth minister charged with four sexual offenses involving juveniles.

Angel “Doogie” Golatt, 28, was arrested in Jena on Tuesday. He lives in Pineville, where Donahue Family Church is locate.

The alleged incidents involve one or more juveniles who attended the church and its events between 2003 adn 2007. Golatt is no longer affiliated with the church.

He is charged with one count of aggravated rape, one count of sexual battery and two counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Rapides Sheriff’s investigators said more charges may be filed because Golatt may have assaulted other juveniles at the church.

At the time of the alleged crimes, Golatt was employed as a junior high youth minister at the church.
