ABBEVILLE – A retired fireman , long-time chief and one-time chief was killed when he pulled into an intersection in front of an on-coming pickup.

Police said Minos Baudoin, 76, failed to sop at a two-way stop sign at LA 3267 and John Hardy Drive and his car was hit on the driver side by the pickup.

Baudoin was not wearing a seat belt at the time, officers said.

The truck driver, Brandon Labit, 33, of Abbeville was restrained and received minor injuries.

Baudoin was a 40-year Abbeville fireman.

Wow, where does the media get its information from. I could be a reporter if all you have to do is assume something and not investigate. First of all, he WAS wearing his seatbelt, the first to arrive on the scene was the person who took it off to try to get him out. And second, he didn't "fail" to stop, he was unconcious because an EYEWITNESS saw him slowly drifting into the opposite lane. So I suggest that you get more information so you don't continue to belittle yourself publicly and not tell the truth about other peoples stories.
