CROWLEY - Charlotte Ann Frugé and Christopher Joseph Martin, both of Houston, Texas, have announced their commitment to be wed on October 6, 2012. Reverend Charles Crews will officiate the 5:30 p.m. ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Crowley.

The prospective bride is the daughter of Philip and Kay Frugé of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Kakie Hoffpauer of Crowley and the late William Hoffpauer, formerly of Crowley; and of the late Dan and Yvonne Frugé, both formerly of Crowley.

Charlotte graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and attended Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English, writing and culture, and a master’s degree in public administration. She is self-employed, working primarily as a consultant to a non-profit educational organization focused on reform initiatives in Louisiana.

The groom-to-be is the son of Charles and Gemma Martin of Crowley. His grandparents are Betty Boulet of Crowley and the late William E. Boulet, formerly of Crowley; and of the late Dorsey and Bernadine Martin, all formerly of Crowley.

Christopher attended Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies at Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a forensic science concentration from Our Lady of the Lake College. He is currently employed as a general manager with Doerle Food Services, LLC.

Following their marriage, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
