Funeral Services will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Geneva A. Bellard, 76, who passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 1:20 PM at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas.  Fr. Guillory from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating the services.

Survivors include her husband of forty two years, Harvey Bellard of Church Point; one son, Lamar J. Bellard of Church Point; one sister, Velma and husband, Ted Doucet of Rayne; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Edna Arceneaux; two brothers, Luther Henry “Hawk” Arceneaux and Norman Arceneaux.

Mrs. Geneva found much joy in gardening, cooking, photography and laughing with family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 5:00 PM till 10:00 PM then 8:00 AM till time of services on Friday.  Burial will be in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart #2 Church Cemetery in Church Point under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Church Point.  Please send personal condolences to the family at www.duhonfuneralhome.com
