Mamou got on the board in the first inning and took a 1-0 advantage without the benefit of a single hit.
Crowley answered in the bottom of the second inning with a pair of runs on a single to right center field by Ben Broussard that put the Gents up 2-1.
That lead was shortlived.
Mamou regained the lead with two runs in the third and the visitors then added two more runs in the fourth to take a 5-2 advantage.
Mackay Mouton doubled in a run in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to two (5-3) but Mamou pulled away in the fifth with five runs on four hits, one walk and four Crowley errors.
Crowley rallied with three runs in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single from Austin Duhon, an error and a wild pitch.
The Gents cut the lead to 10-7 in the seventh on an RBI double from Kaleb Istre but the game ended with runners at first and third base on Alex Lebeouf’s lineout to second base.
The Gents had 10 hits on the day. Lebeouf and Mickey Morgan each had two, while Istre, Broussard, Duhon, Jon-Riley Mouton, Mackay Mouton and Bubba Daigle each had one.
