Rayne - Funeral services will be held at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. for Gracie "Peachie" Cook Sonnier, 81, who died Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Regional Medical Center.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are her husband, Curley Sonnier, Rayne, one daughter, Judith Sonnier of Baker, LA, two sons, Grover Lee Sonnier of Moreno Valley, CA, Paul Sonnier of Clinton, UT, eight grandchildren, Benjamin Stove, III of Baton Rouge, Derek Sonnier of Okinawa, Japan, Tracie Sonnier of Moreno Valley, CA, Cherron Vaden of Cheyenne, WY, Lance Sonnier of Moreno, CA, Alexis Sonnier, Paul Sonnier, Brittany Sonnier all of Clinton, UT, one sister, Annie Hogan of Rayne, one nephew, Nicholas Hogan of Compton, CA, two nieces, Mary Linda Gothe of Scott, Pearly Arceneaux of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by parents, Nicholas Cook and Lillian Handy Cook.

She was born Saturday, July 13, 1929 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late Nicholas Cook and the late Lillian Handy Cook.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m..
