GALVESTON BEACH - Aimee Nicole Chaisson married David Dane Guidry on July 24, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. on Galveston Beach in Texas.

Aimee is the daughter of Michael and Christine Stelly of Crowley. Her grandparents her Yvonne Maraist Simon, George Stelly, and the late Janet Verrett Stelly all of Crowley.

Aimee graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended SLCC. She is presently employed by Lafayette Consolidated Government as abstractor.

David is the son of Dexter and Angie Guidry of Crowley. His grandparents are Daniel and Virginia Amy of Ebenzer; the late Lloyd Guidry and Eljane Broussard Neizer of Crowley.

David graduated from Notre Dame High School and is currently employed by H and P Drilling of Texas.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Michael Stelly. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Connie Claypool and included the musical selections, “I’m Yours” and “The Pledge.”

The bride wore a white eyelet knee length dress with spaghetti straps. She wore a baby white orchid flower in her hair and she carried a bouquet of matching baby white orchids tied with a white satin ribbon.

In keeping with tradition, she wore her mother’s diamond earrings for her bit of something old. She had a brand new wedding dress and she borrowed her cousin’s diamond bracelet. For her bit of something blue she wore a blue garter beneath her dress.

Aimee’s matron of honor was her mother, Christine Stelly. The bride was served by her sister, Miranda Stelly and her cousin, Athena West.

The matron of honor and the bride’s attendants wore yellow, strapless, floor length dresses accented with ivory jewelry. They carried bouquets of white baby orchids tied with yellow ribbons.

The mother of the groom wore a white, knee length dress.

The groom’s best man was his father, Dexter Guidry. His groomsmen were his cousin, Mikey Istre and the bride’s cousin, Adam West.

The reception was held at Landry’s Seafood Restaurant on Galveston Beach. The bride’s cake was a double layer white confection with strawberry filling decorated with matching baby orchid flowers.

Guests traveled from Louisiana, Texas, and Idaho to help the couple celebrate their happy day.

The couple honeymooned in Gatlinberg, Tennessee and they now reside in Crowley.
