The bride is the daughter of Mary Ann and Larry Hadaway of Iota. She is the granddaughter of the late Walter and Mabel Fuselier of Iota, and Patsy Hadaway of Boerne, Tex. and the late John Hadaway.
Marie Elise is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish.
The groom is the son of Mona and Warren Borel Jr. of Iota, and Roy and Tammy Reppond, also of Iota. He is the grandson of Leatrice and Hurley Gautreaux of Iota, and Virginia Reppond of Alabama and the late Roy Reppond Sr. His step-grandparents are Charlotte and Leonard Zaunbrecher of Crowley and Becky and Warren Borel Sr. of St. Martinville.
Bryson is a 2004 graduate of Iota High School, and he is currently employed as a machinist at BML Machine Shop in Carencro.
Guests were ushered to their seats by Skylar Lejeune and Connor Bergeron, nephews of the bride.
Music for the ceremony was played by violin soloist Hunter Jon Lambert. Selections included “Always a Child,” “Canon in D,” Pie Jesu,” “Ave Maria,” “Trumpet Voluntary” and “La Rejouissance.”
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Galina Signature gown in ivory shantung taffeta that was simple yet elegant. The ruched bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and empire waist accented with a bow applique and diamond brooch. The full ballroom skirt was completed with a sweep train.
For her headpiece, Marie Elise selected an ivory chapel-length veil accented by a single ivory magnolia bloom.
She carried a bouquet of ivory ranunculus, magnolias and ivory butterfly orchids interspersed with gold peonies and gold butterfly orchids. An individual pink camellia was included in memory of her maternal grandmother.
The bride also carried her grandmother’s blue rosary intertwined in her bouquet. It served as “something old,” “something borrowed” and “something blue.” Her wedding gown was “something new.”
Emily Bergeron, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lejeune, sister of the bride; Megan Borel, stepsister of the groom; and Anna Lantz, Rachel Pope, Melissa McNulty and Claire Gossen, friends of the bride.
The bridal attendants wore charcoal gray knee-length dresses with pleated skirts. Y-necklines enhanced the dresses’ sleeveless bodices.
For flowers, the bridal attendants carried bouquets of ivory ranunculus accented with gold peonies, gold butterfly orchids and yellow roses.
Addison May Lejeune, godchild and niece of the bride, and Ava Grace Bergeron, niece of the bride, served as flower girls. The girls were attired in gray full-length ballerina gowns. The sleeveless satin tops with scoop necklines perfectly complemented the tulle skirts.
Addison and Ava carried baskets filled with white bouquets.
Dustin Trumps, friend of the groom, stood as best man. Joel Reppond, the groom’s late brother, was present in spirit to serve as a groomsman. Other groomsmen were Shon Kennedy, Cody Fontenot, Lance Lejeune, Andrew Hebert and Clint Freeman, all friends of the groom.
Hayden Lejeune, nephew of the bride, and Ayden Fontenot, godchild of the groom, served as ring bearers.
For her daughter’s wedding, the mother of the bride, the former Mary Ann Fuselier, selected a tea-length charcoal gray chiffon dress with a scoop neckline and embellished top and jacket.
The mother of the groom, the former Mona Breaux, wore a light pink grown featuring cap sleeves and a natural waist bodice embellished with beads and sequins.
The groom’s stepmother, Tammy Zaunbrecher Reppond, was clad in a gray pantsuit with a ruffled neckline underlaid with a black lace camisole.
The mothers carried mixes of yellow and ivory buds and roses.
Selected Scriptures were read by Valerie Deshotel, cousin of the groom, Cleve Gray, godfather of the bride, Anna Marie LeJeune, godmother of the groom, and Jackie Schott, cousin of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held for the newlyweds at Grand Marais Courtyard in Jennings.
Each guest table was topped with a round vase containing a single stem of either white orchids, purple orchids, white dogwood or yellow forsythia, and a floating candle. The centerpieces were handcrafted by the bride and her sister.
The bride’s four-tiered oval cake was decorated with ivory icing, and charcoal ribbon accented the base of each tier. Covered with words and phrases special to the bride and groom, the cake featured Scripture from 1 Corinthians 12 around the bottom tier. Handmade peonies and the initial “R” graced the top tier.
The groom’s red velvet cake was shaped as a football field and decorated with an LSU theme.
Out-of-town guests traveled from Texas and various points throughout Acadiana.
On the evening prior to the wedding, the groom’s mother and stepfather hosted a rehearsal dinner at Joe’s Italian Restaurant in Jennings. Guests enjoyed a variety of Italian dishes.
The couple will reside in Iota.
