CROWLEY - Tara Ann Hanks and Zachary Evan Abshire, both of Crowley, have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on the evening of Saturday, November 24.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hanks of Broussard. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth Morgan and the late Bonnie Morgan of Lafayette and Martha Ogima of Youngsville.

Tara graduated high school in 2007 and is currently employed by the Spoiled Pet Spa & Boutique in Lafayette.

The groom-elect is the son of Dennis and Denise Abshire of Rayne. His grandparents are Hazel Villejoin and the late Ivan Villejoin and the late Darwood Abshire and Dorothy Abshire.

Zachary is a 2010 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and the owner of Atchafalaya Foundation Repair, LLC.

The couple will wed during a 7 p.m. nuptial ceremony at the Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley. Pastor Tim Gautreaux of Bay Community Church in Mobile, Ala. will officiate.
