Funeral Services will be Thursday April 7, 2011 at 1:30 PM at St. Edmunds Catholic Church in Branch for Hazel P. Savoy, 77, who passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 1:10 PM at Acadia St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.  Officiating her services will be Fr. Bordelon, pastor at St. Edmunds Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Edolia Duplechin and her husband Leon Thibodeaux of Church Point; one son Darrell and his wife Charlene Savoy of Church Point; one sister, Marjorie Abshire of Crowley; two grandchildren, Mary Nicole Savoy and Kayla Jeane Duplechin both of Church Point; two great grandchildren, Kage Bellard and Ana Reyes both of Church Point.

Ms. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ray Savoy; her parents, Columbus and Inez Primeaux; one grandson, Joseph Archille “T-Joe” Savoy; one brother, Joseph Semar and one half sister, Marie Abshire.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM till 10:00 then 8:00 AM till time of services on Thursday.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 in the evening on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in the St. Edmonds Catholic Church in Branch under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point.  Please send personal condolences to the family at www.duhonfuneralhome.com
