CROWLEY-Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Jackson, 85, will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Crowley. Burial will be in the West Crowley Cemetery. Rev. Christopher Arvie will officiate the services.

Mrs. Jackson stepped beyond the gates of this world on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:50 a.m. at the American Legion Hospital in Crowley.

She leaves to cherish wonderful memories of her three sons, Rev. Leron (Julia) Jackson of Rowlet, Texas, Lawrence (Alfreda) Jackson of Baton Rouge and Rev. Leo Paul (Debra) Jackson of Lancaster, Texas; one sister, Telen Haley of Port Arthur, Texas; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley Steven and Lorena Rose Steven Williams; one brother: Nelson McKinley Steven; four sisters, Mary Fontenot, Julia Mott, Lena Miles, Arope Mae Keely; one son Leroy Jackson; two daughters; Annie Lee Spencer, and Leatrice Lewis; and her former husband, Leo Jackson.
