EL PASO, Tx. - The family of Hensley L. Bergeron, 75, of Las Cruces, N.M., regretfully announces the death of their loved one on Thursday, April 28, 2011. Hensley was laid to rest on May 5, 2011 in the military cemetery at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Tx. where he was honored with military rites. Hensley served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his beloved wife Carmen B. Bergeron, two daughters, Stacey B.Reimer and husband Tom and Cindy Bergeron; one son, Mitchell Bergeron; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, all from Lancaster, Cal.; two brothers, Walter ‘Blackie’ Trahan and his wife Wylene of Lafayette and Paul Russell of Springfield, Mo; and one step-brother, Irvin ‘Toby’ Akers Jr. and his wifeMichelle ‘Mickey’ of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Newton Bergeron; his mother and stepfather, Helen R. Akers and Irvin L. Akers Sr.; maternal grandparents, Louis and Estella Roberts, two brothers, Edward Ray Bergeron and Robert Trahan Sr.; one sister-in-law, Nancy Russell; and father and mother-in-laws, Hal and Lil Brown.
