Crowley - Funeral services will be held at Forest Park Church of Christ, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. for Herbert "Black" Joseph Davy, 87 who died Friday, May 11, 2012.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Davy; son, Joey Davy and wife Janell of Crowley, daughters, Elaine Menard and husband Carroll of Rayne, Miranda Abshire and husband Anthony of Crowley, Justine Istre and husband Leonard of Crowley, Brenda Davy and husband Milton Domingue of Rayne and Nikki Davy of Crowley; 21 Grandchildren; 38 Great Grandchildren, and many Great Great Grandchidlren, sister, Ella Mae Guidry of Crowley.

He was preceded in his parents Henry Davy and Germaine Duplechain Davy; two brothers Daniel and Emery Davy; three sisters Ruby Irste, Anna Irste and Elvie Credeur; three grandchildren Brian Benoit, Dustin and Justin Davy; and one daughter Diane Benoit.

He was born Thursday, May 7, 1925 in Opelousas, LA, Son of the late Henry Davy and the late Germaine Duplechain Davy.

Friends will be received 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M., Monday, May 14 and 8:00 A.M until Services Tuesday, May 15, 2012. at Forest Park Church of Christ in Crowley.
