Herbert Joseph Broussard, Sr., born April 14, 1941, in Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on November 26, 2010.

He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Broussard loved his horses, which he trained, raced and showed. He raised cattle and ran greyhounds.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Eliza Broussard; children, Claudette Broussard, Sandra Broussard-Alfred and husband, Presley, and Herbert Joseph Broussard, Jr.; grandchildren, Sehran Broussard, Ty Whitney Broussard, RJ Jarvis, Mayla Alfred and Emily Alfred.

A Celebration of Herbert’s Life was held Friday, December 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with burial to follow at Paradise South Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.

Visitation began one hour prior to service time.
