Funeral services were held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. for Hilda Gandy Floyd, 74, who died Friday, July 27, 2012, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Gandy Henry and husband, Mike, of Rayne, Lynette Gandy Plattsmier and husband, Chris, of Rayne; five grandchildren, Jaimee Gandy, Brooke Henry Rinaudo and husband, Anthony, John Schexnayder and wife, Ashley, Jenny Richard, Gabrielle Plattsmier; two sisters, Vera Dugas of Crowley, and Judy Bourque of New Iberia; and one brother, Jimmy King of Port Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Gandy; one granddaughter, Heather N. Henry; and parents, Wallace King and Hazel Williams King.

She was born Thursday, February 17, 1938, in Plaquemine, LA, daughter of the late Wallace King and the late Hazel Williams King.

Pallbearers were Chris Plattsmier, Mike Henry, John Schexnayder, Anthony Rinaudo, Jimmy King and Merlin Bourque. Honorary pallbearer was Woody LeLeux.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m..
