Wake services for Ida Lafleur, age 87, will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Mathilda Bishop Ceaser Center with a Rosary being prayed at 9:30 AM. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM at St. Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice with Father Darren J. Eldridge officiating.

Interment will be at St. Mathilda Catholic Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lafleur passed away December 28, 2008 at 3:00 PM in Eunice.

She was a former member of the Ladies Altar Society and a faithful member of St. Mathilda Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons: Paul & Michael Lafleur of Eunice and Austin Lafleur of Houston, TX; five daughters: Eleanora and Dorita Lafleur of Eunice, Lucille Lafleur Fontenot and Genetha Lafleur both of Houston, TX, and Felecia Lafleur of Crowley; two brothers, Wallace Chatman of Houston, TX, and Lawrence Bihm of Eunice; one sister, Linda Ann Jacobs of Houston, TX.

Mrs. Lafleur is preceded in death by her father and mother, Wallace Chapman and Geneva LeBleu; husband, Antoine Lafleur; one step-sister, Ora Mae Alfred, and one son, Lawrence Lafleur.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Savoy, Michael Lafleur, Austin Lafleur, Roger Lafleur, Gary Lafleur, and Christopher Lafleur.
