WALKER – A man roaming a neighborhood naked, breaking into some homes and peeping into others, then riding a stolen lawn mower to his get away truck, faces several charges.

Jason Clayton, 35, of Denham Springs told police he had take a “party mix” of drugs shortly before his 3 a.m. jaunt through the neighborhood.

When they arrived at the scene, officers saw a naked man run from a shed, cross a field, jump a fence and go into a wooded area. A K-9 officer pursued and pinned him down until handlers arrived.

The suspect was first spotted by a woman working in her home when she heard a noise and saw a man run from her home.

Officers said they were unsure how Clayton planned to get the riding lawn mower into his sedan, where his clothes were found.

Charges include peeping Tom, obscenity, simple burglary, felony theft, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, attempting simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and resisting an officer.

He was previously arrested June 29 on a home invasion charge near Denham Springs.
