ACADIA PARISH-An early morning accident and fire along Interstate 10 Westbound continues to cause traffic issues on the roadway and along detour routes.

Two 18-wheelers collided near mile marker 68, westbound this morning and caught fire, forcing crews to close both westbound lanes.

Traffic is now being diverted at exit 80 in Crowley to LA 13 south then Highway 90 west, causing slower than normal travel along these routes as well.

Traffic along I-10 eastbound is also moving slower than normal.

The accident remains under investigation, but no injuries were reported.

State police are among those responding.
