Investigation continues into an accident that left a Eunice motorcycle seriously injured.

According to reports, Gregory Young, 50, was riding his cycle south on La. 13 South when he hit from behind a vehicle driven by Emile Pitre, Sr., 71, of Eunice.

Young, bleeding profusely from a head wound, was taken to a Crowley hospital, then to a Lafayette facility, records indicate.

The accident occured about 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.

Pitre told officers he was also traveling south, preparing to turn into Pitre's Barber Shop parking lot, when the bike struck the rear of his vehicle.

Officers said Pitre's vehicle came to rest lot about 150 feet from the point of impact.
