The Bloomer Trailer team consists of 34 team members representing 11 states. This is the second year that Jake has been chosen to represent Bloomer Trailers in Saddlebronc, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping.
Hebert and the rest of the Bloomer team will be competing against approximately 1200 other contestants at the International Finals Youth Rodeo in Shawnee, Oklahoma July 11-17.
The IFYR, also known as the Cheyenne of High School Rodeo, prepares you to move up to the next level, it offers 11 performances of the top high school rodeo action, it has 3 arenas running simultaneously, and more than $200,000.00 payoff. The best of the best compete at Shawnee and it is the coveted win in a High School Rodeo career.
Team members are chosen to represent Bloomer Trailers not only on their ability to win in their event, but also based on moral character, attitude, competitive spirit and leadership ability.
“Becoming a champion is not easy, it takes hard work, perseverance and dedication to get to the top and stay at the top of any field. Jake has all the qualities of a winner and we are proud to have him on our team” said Randy Bloomer, owner of Bloomer Trailers.
The majority of the Bloomer team members will go on to compete at the college and pro level.
The Bloomer Trailers program works hard with the team members leading up to the competition in several areas including: obtaining sponsors, interviewing for television and radio, the business side of rodeo, professional photo shoots, live filming, and focusing on being a winner in and out of the arena. They work with several Professional Rodeo Cowboys that are Bloomer Trailers Pro Team including Speedy Williams, Rich Skelton, Nick Sartain, Lari Dee Guy, Robbie Schroeder, Josh Peek, Tuff Hedeman, Joe Beaver, Cody Ohl and many others. They are all trained by legendary commentator Pam Minick and interviewed for future commercials.
Bloomer team members also work with such companies as Justin Boots, Panhandle Slim, Cinch Jeans, Cruel Girl Jeans, Southern Thread and many others that look at each one as the future of pro rodeo.
Hebert is the 2009 Louisiana High School Rodeo All Around Champion and the 2009 Saddlebronc Champion. Jake will represent Louisiana at the National High School Finals again in Saddlebronc this July in Gillette Wyoming. He has qualified for the National High School Finals all four years of High School.
Hebert is a recent graduate of Iota High and will attend Sam Houston University in the fall to further his education and will compete on the college rodeo team. He is the son of Joey and Lisa Hebert.
