Dexter and Krystle Romero of Maurice are announcing the birth of their first child, a son, Jace Phillip, born at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
At birth, he weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces, and measured 21 inches in length.
Mrs. Romero is the former Krystle Nicole Hyfield, daughter of Karen Trahan of Rayne and Gary and Barbara Hyfield of Porter, Texas, maternal grandparents.
Paternal grandparents are Stacy and Sharon Romero of Maurice.
Great-grandparents are Joseph and Joyce Trahan of Rayne, Buel Hyfield of Indian Bayou, and Sterling and Alberta Hernandez of Maurice.
