CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Jacob Allan Caplinger, 25 who died Sunday November 7, 2010 at his residence in Carencro.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michaels Catholic Church, will celebrate the Mass and the Committal services at the Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening. The family request visitation be observed from 3 p.m. Monday until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time.

Jacob was born February 11, 1985 in Tyler, Texas and he moved to Louisiana in 2001. He met his wife Denea and they were married in 2008. His most precious possession was his daughter Brynley who he loved to spend his time off with. He loved the outdoors, riding his four-wheeler, taking care of his animals and he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Denea Duhon Caplinger of Carencro; his daughter Brynley “Bear” Elise Caplinger of Carencro; his mother Paula Meaux Caplinger of Crowley; His father Scott Caplinger of Tyler, Texas; his sister Emily Caplinger Hallum and her husband John of Eunice; maternal grandparents Paul and Emma Meaux of Crowley; paternal grandfather Dr. Robert Allan Caplinger of Tyler, Texas; two nieces Gracie and Karlee Hallum; a nephew Lane Hallum; his god-parents Cordelia Pizzolatto and Al Meaux and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Margaret Mary Caplinger and an aunt Lyn Tankersly.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Meaux, Mike Meaux, Todd Meaux, Eric Meaux, John Hallum and Glenn Suire.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc. of Crowley.
