Mire - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, March 16, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. for Jamie John Hanks, 38, who died Monday, March 12, 2012 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the BVM Cemetery, Mire, LA.

Surviving is his companion, Ashley Dowdy of Baton Rouge, LA, one son, Lucien Michael Hanks of Baton Rouge, LA, one step daughter, Amara Dowdy of Baton Rouge, parents, Kurt and Marlene Meche Hanks of Baton Rouge, one brother, Jason "Mikie" Hanks of Baton Rouge, LA, paternal grandmother, Barriel Prejean Hanks of Bosco, maternal grandfather, John Meche of Mire.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Lee Hanks, maternal grandmother, Loma Gary Meche.

He was born Saturday, February 9, 1974 in Lafayette, LA, son of Dennis Kurt Hanks and Marlene Meche Hanks.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Friday, March 16, 2012 from 10 a.m. until service.
