Jasmine Elizabeth Rogers and Jermil Drexler Rogers of Rayne were united as husband and wife on Saturday, July 14, 2012, during an 11 a.m. wedding ceremony at the Best Western Rayne Inn Hospitality Room.

The bride is the daughter of Veronica Ann White and Paul Wayne Francis, both of Rayne. Her grandparents are Martha Ann White, Mary Ann Francis and Phillip LeBlanc, all of Rayne. She is a 2011 graduate of Rayne High School and is employed by Dollar General Store in Rayne.

The groom is the son of Harriet Rogers of Lake Charles and Joseph Craig Rogers of Kaplan. He is the grandson of Vilma Landry of Kaplan. A 2011 graduate of Rayne HIgh School, he is employed by Capital Manufacturing in Crowley.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore semi-formal, white wedding dress designed with a jewel neckline, a soft ruched bust and gradual pleats below the empire waist to create an elegant sheath silhouette, all set by a Tiffany blue ribbon. For her headpiece, she wore a classic, rhinestone tiara while carrying a bridal bouquet of white and Tiffany blue roses designed with centers of crystal embellishments.

Of the traditional items selected by the bride for her wedding day was her grandmother’s bracelet as something old and borrowed hairpins.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Ashley Ledet, her best friend. She wore a blue and white dress and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.

The groom, attired in a formal white tuxedo, was attended by his best man, Malcolm Morris, close friend.

For her daughter’s wedding, the mother of the bride wore a blue and white pants suit with formal black pants, while the groom’s mother selected a similar ensemble in related colors.

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held on site.

Among the refreshments provided was the bride’s cake, a white cnofection detailed with Tiffany blue and white floral accents.

The groom’s cake was chocolate confection detailed with a football theme.

The couple will reside in Rayne.
