Funeral services were held Monday September 27, 2010, at 2:00 p.m.  in the Chapel of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne, for Jerry Worth Skipper, 78, who died Friday September 24, 2010,  at his residence in Duson.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Gautreaux Skipper of Duson; six daughters, Betty Sue King, Billie Lis, Martha Richter, Barbara Cole, Selina Fontenot, and Donna Fontenot; four sons, William Carl Eisner, Herman Eisner, Charles Fontenot, and Tommy Fontenot; thirty-three grandchildren; and forty-seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Neffay Ganey Skipper.

Visitation was held Monday from 10:00 a.m. until services.

Burial was in the Fountain Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
