Jezel Lucille Knight, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Texas, passed away August 6, 2010, in LaVernia, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral home of Raceland, La., on Thursday, August 12, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until her service of Christian Burial at 12 noon.

Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Raceland, La., following the funeral ser-vice.

She was survived by her fiance’, Mark Pennington; two sons, Daniel Darbonne and Michael James Darbonne, Jr.; a daughter, Selina Darbonne Eckout; three brothers, Alvin Dominique, Jr, Herman Dominique and Dean Dominique; and three sisters, Angela Dominique Cotton, Susan Dominique Caillouet, and Tanya Dominique Bacon. She also had nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Helen Meche Knight.

Jezel was a very loving, Christian mother and grandmother.
