Rayne - Funeral services will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. for John Alex Martin, 57 who died Saturday, April 16, 2011.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery.

Surviving are wife Bernie Reyes Martin; daughter, Joanne Martin Heinen and husband Hunter, two sons, Christopher John Martin and Jake Francis Martin, brother, Kermit Cormier and wife Peggy, sister, Cindy Martin and husband Curt, niece, Christine Guilbeaux and husband Dale, niece, Lacey Mouton and husband Brent, nephew, Ryan Martin, niece, Jamie Mire and husband Cody, nephew, Wilton Marks, niece, Jessica Marks, great niece, Claire Guilbeaux, great nephew, Jordan Guilbeaux, great niece, Meghan Guilbeaux, great niece, Gabby Mouton, great niece, Lexy Mouton, great niece, Kaelyn Mire, great niece, Allie Mire, great great niece, Kristian Guilbeaux, great great niece, Mackenzie Campbell.

He was a loving husband, father and son.

He was preceded in death by his father Wilton Francis Martin and one sister Carolyn Martin..

He was born Saturday, September 5, 1953 in Rayne, LA, Son of the late Wilton Francis Martin and Odette Melancon Martin.

Friends will be received 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, April 18 and 8:00 A.M. until Service Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
