Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Duhon Funeral Home chapel in Rayne, for Joseph “Joe” Alleman of Duson, 80, who passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 4:15 a.m. at his residence.
Officiating the services will be Deacon Daniel Besse. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday by Deacon Besse and Bercie Alleman, sister-in-law of Duson.
Survivors include two daughters, Eldean and husband, Harold Comeaux, and Nacklyn and husband, Darrell Credeur, all of Duson; three grandchildren, Tessica and husband, Mark Lantier, Tiree and husband, David Champagne, and David and wife, Kristy Sonnier; six great-grandchildren, Tosha Lantier, Toya Lantier, Trent Champagne, Terin Champagne, Cory Champagne, Charles Champagne; one great-great-grandchild, Kadynce Lantier; four sisters, Birdie Guildeaux , Marge Ray, both of Rayne and Dacie Dugas and Lorena Dugas, both of Duson; and three brothers, Louis Alleman and John Alleman of Duson and Carroll Alleman of Scott
Mr. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Alleman; one son, Farrell Alleman; his parents, Wilfred and Solita Alleman; one brother, Jessie Alleman; and one sister, Grace Trahan.
Mr. Joe was a carpenter for forty years in the Lafayette area.
Pallbearers for Mr. Joe will be Harold Comeaux, Trent Champagne, David Champagne, Mark Lantier, Carroll Alleman and Jason Dugas. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Credeur, Daniel Alleman, David Sonnier and Jimmy Baudoin.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. till time of services.
Burial will be at St. Theresa Church Cemetery in Duson under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C.
