CROWLEY – Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for Joseph Hilliard “Yogi” Schexnider Jr., 66, who died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 4:20 p.m. at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.

Rev. Jimmy Broussard will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Schexnider is survived by one son, Jeremy Schexnider of Lafayette; his mother, Gracie Gautreaux Schexnider of Crowley; two sisters, Millie S. Mier and her husband Terry of Crowley, Susan Schexnider of Crowley; and one brother, Michael Schexnider and his wife Angela of Jennings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hilliard Schexnider Sr.; two brothers, Robert and Russell Schexnider.
