A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Joyce A. “Sennie” Guidry, 82, who died July 31, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

Fr. Gregory Cormier pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Baldwin will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Michael Guidry and his wife, Cynthia of Katy, Texas, Dale Anthony Guidry of Spring, Texas, and Terry Guidry of Lafayette; one sister, Norma Jean Arnaud and her husband, Jim of Lake Charles; Anthony Armentor and his wife, Brenda of Jennings; one grandchild, Amanda M. Sands and her husband, Bill of Florida; one great-grandchild, Ashley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Guidry is preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Dudley” Guidry, Jr.; her parents, Arthur and Hazel Sensat Armentor; and one sister, Hilda “Billie” A. Gay.
