Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Joyce H. Spaetgens, 84, who passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010, at her home in Rayne. 

Father Bill Ruskoski e officiated the services.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Tony Spaetgens of Rayne; three daughters, Karen and husband, Wayne Blanchard, of New Iberia, Mona and husband, Jim Gros, of Lafayette and Melanie Comeaux and Ken Leblanc of Scott; four grandchildren, Shelly and husband, Jerome Lange, Kaci Blanchard, Corey Gros and Jill Gros; two great-grandchildren, Laney Lange and Sakura Lange.

Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Clinuis and Yvonne Hoffpauir; and one brother, Ronald Hoffpauir.

Visitation was Monday, September 6, 2010, from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. and then 8:00 a.m. until time of services. 

A Rosary was recited Monday at 7:00 in the evening. 

Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Church  Mausoleum #2 in Rayne under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Rayne.
