Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. for Katherine Anderson Manuel, 57, who died Monday, January 21, 2013, in Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital in Lafayette.

Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Robert Manuel of Rayne; one daughter, Sumer Manuel of Youngsville; one son, Broc Manuel and fiance, Emilie Scianna, of Bay Saint Louis, MS; four sisters, Norma Wiltz and husband, Larry, of Henderson, Linda Thomasse of Arnaudeville, Patricia Braud and husband, Bobbie, of St. Amant, and Jean Gauthreaux of Folsom; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mike and Myrna Constantin of Rayne; and brother-in-law, Keith Manuel of Rayne.

She was preceded in death by parents, Dora Jarreau Anderson and John Joseph Anderson.

She was born Friday, August 5, 1955, in Baton Rouge, LA, daughter of the late John Joseph Anderson and the late Dora Jarreau Anderson.

A rosary was recited Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Tuesday, January 22, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 23, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
