Chief Carroll Stelly reported Rayne Police responded to a burglary in progress call where suspect Kenny Menard was found to be attempting to enter a private residence of another without permission or legal authority.
During the arrest, Kenny Menard resisted the officers and reasonable force was used to effect the arrest.
Menard was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for the multiple felony charges.
