Kim Gattle is a lover of the arts and a great mother. She is the executive director of the Grand Opera House of the South.

Kim is the daughter of L. J. and Chee Chee Gielen. She and her husband Thomas have two children, Thomas and Mary Elizabeth, whom she adores.

Kim graduated from Notre Dame High school in ‘91 and from Louisiana State University in ‘96. After getting her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education, she spent some time at New York University for arts administration.

As executive director of the Grand Opera House of the South, she thoroughly enjoys her job.

“Having been in retail for so many years, I really enjoy working with people. The Opera House gives me opportunities to see the reactions of both performers and the audience,” she said, “I really love bringing the arts to the community.”

Kim enjoys seeing both on and off Broadway productions, shopping, traveling, cooking, and offering her children every experience possible.
