TUCSON, Ariz. –Former LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee, who did not play a single snap in the Tigers’ 21-0 loss to Alabama in the BCS National Championship game a week ago, finally got a chance to shine Monday when he participated in the Casino Del Sol All-Star game at Kino Stadium.

And the fifth-year senior made the best of his opportunity. Lee completed 12 of his 17 pass attempts and threw for two touchdowns in the Stars (East) 24-21 loss to the Stripes (West).

Lee, who guided LSU to eight straight victories to start the season and led the SEC in passing efficiency, connected with William & Mary tight end Alex Gottlieb on a nine-yard scoring strike in the first half to give the Stars a 14-0 advantage.

Lee struck again, this time to Sacred Heart University wide receiver for a 16-yard touchdown to go up 21-17 with 3:36 left in the game.

The Stripes rallied in the final minutes and mounted a 17-play touchdown drive to win the game.

The Stars were coached by former Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt while the Stripes were led by former Fresno State coach Patt Hill.
