MIDLAND - For only the second time in school history, the Notre Dame Lady Pios have advanced to the Ladies Top 28.

ND defeated Baker Thursday night 48-46 at a quarterfinal game played at Midland High School.

The Lady Pios next opponent will be Avoyelles as they won their quarterfinal match 59-58.

The other side of the 3A bracket was also decided Thursday night with St. James and Loyola Prep advancing.

The Top 28 tournament tips off Monday in hammond. Official dates and times for the games will be announced soon.
