Lady Wolves slide into playoffs

RAYNE - Completing a 6-4 district record for the 2010-2011 softball season, the Rayne High School Lady Wolves softball team enters post-season as the No. 12 seed in the state playoffs this week.

The Lady Wolves will host No. 21 North DeSoto (13-14 overall) Tuesday during a 5 p.m. afternoon contest at Gossen Memorial Park.

With a first-round win, Rayne will meet the winner of #5 Albany and #28 Sacred Heart of New Orleans.
