Survivors include his wife Evelyn Bertrand of Crowley; his step daughter Melinda Smith of Estherwood; his step son Louis Alvarez of Gueydan; three sisters Beatrice Johnson, Anna Lee Spell, and Vergie Crosby all of Crowley; two brothers Delton and Louis Bertrand both of Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dorosell and Ozema Vasseur Bertrand; and three brothers Clifton, Joseph, and Huey Bertrand.
Burial will be in the Abshire Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley.
