Leon H. Roy, Sr.
Fr. David Broussard and Fr. Jude Thierry will concelebrate the funeral services and the burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Roy was born November 4, 1934 In Iota. LA to the late Ida Romaine and Lloyd Roy. He was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Leon worked in the oilfield and trucking industry most of his life. He loved spending time with his family, boiling crawfish or barbecuing. He loved listening to Wayne Toups and if he played close by, he was there.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of fifty-one years, Carol Riviere Roy of Livonia; three sons. Danny Paul and wife Yvonne, Leon Roy, Jr. and wife Mary, Bryant Roy; three daughters, Pamela Gail Deville and husband Sayias, Claudette Badon and Paula Renee Doucet and husband Mike; grandchildren Reesa Rey Badon Boudreaux, Corey Russell Badon, Crystan Carol Higginbotham, Devin Blake Badon, Kyle Joubert, Ian Lloyd Roy, Desiree Delhomme Hanvy, Danielle Delhomme Greene, Shana Renee Delhomme Menard, Shad Allen Delhomme, Trent Joseph Roy, Alyssa Leann Roy, Alexis Layne Roy, Caleb Joel Roy; great-grandchildren Alexander Reese Boudreaux, Alycia D’Lain Boudreaux, Lincoln Cole Greene, London Claire Greene, Hudson Jude Greene, Layton James Delhomme, Ella Claire Menard, Cami Rae Delhomme, Dorian Elyesse Ledoux, Madison Klair Hanvy and Hayden Badon.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Nell Roy, parents Lloyd Joseph and Ida Roy, daughter Rhonda Roy, two sisters Curtis Andrepont and Louise Henson and a brother Dudley Roy.
