Funeral services were held Wednesday September 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Leona Deville Roy, 91, who died Sunday September 26, 2010, at the Rayne Guest Home.

Fr. Clint Trahan, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated.

Survivors include one daughter, Yvonne and her husband, E.J. Lavergne, of Rayne; one son, Talbert and his wife, Clara Roy, of Rayne; one sister, Bernice Deville of Scott; six grandchildren, Chrissy L. Comeaux, Tonya L. Bergeron, Randall Roy, Phyliss Roy Espinoza, Dwayne Roy, and Terry Roy; and ten great-grandchildren Kourtney, and Chelsea Comeaux, Brandt, and Bryce Bergeron, Tyler and Erika Espinoza, Drew, Taylor, Amanda, and Christopher Roy.

She was preceded in death by husband, Roger Roy; parents, Remi and Ophelia Rougeaux Deville; sister, Mary Deville Turner; and brothers, Norris J.C. Deville and Ernest Deville.

Visitation was held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Burial was in the Estherwood Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
