Library adds magic shows to Summer Reading Program, ‘The Magic of Rob Rue and Bobbi’ to be performed at five locations

CROWLEY - The Acadia Parish Library announces the return of magic to this year’s Summer Reading Program. “The Magic of Rob Rue and Bobbi” will again be featured throughout Acadia Parish at various locations.

The shows will be free to the public.

The magic duo has performed for the past 30 years at top corporate events, theaters and cruise ships nationwide. Rue says he plans to present a really fun show this summer that will appeal to both young people and their parents. Each performance will feature classic magic, comedy audience participation and some new surprises.

The Acadia Parish Library, in a news release, announced five shows:

July 19, 1 p.m., Midland High School Gym, 735 S. Crocker St., Midland.

July 20, 10:30 a.m., Church Point Elementary School Cafeteria, 415, Lougarre St., Church Point.

July 21, 2 p.m., Iota Elementary School Cafeteria, 470 W. Kennedy St. (Hwy. 98), Iota.

July 22, 10:30 a.m. Rayne High Gym, 1016 North Polk St., Rayne.

July 28, 10 a.m., Crowley Adult Education Meeting Room (Old Wal-Mart Bldg.), 2122 N. Parkerson Ave., Crowley.
